Flu Shot Clinic Posted on October 29th, 2008 by

Living in college dorms and apartments often means that students are exposed to germs and illnesses at a high frequency.  As the winter months quickly approach, flu season is just about upon us.  The Gustavus Health Services offered a flu shot clinic today in an effort to keep students healthy.

From 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. students were able stop by the Jackson Campus Center and get a vaccine.  The cost was 20 dollars, and no appointment was necessary.  I arrived in the afternoon to get my shot.  The whole process of arriving and receiving a vaccination took no longer than 25 minutes.

Many senior nursing majors from Gustavus admininstered the shots.  My shot was given by a guy named Tom, and he did a wonderful job.  The flu shot was nearly painless, and hopefully I will be better protected against the flu in the coming months.

I greatly appreciated that Health Services offered this flu shot clinic.  It was convenient, and sent a clear message that the safety and health of Gustavus Students is a priority on campus.
