Gustavus is an institution rich with traditions. One of these annual traditions is Christmas in Christ Chapel, fondly referred to as CinCC. CinCC is a fantastic musical performance that combines efforts from people who participate in choir, orchestra, brass, handbells, organ, dance, and more. The concert really is a joyous celebration of the holidays.
Nearly 350 student, faculty, and staff members bring CinCC to life each year. As the name suggests, CinCC is held in the Chapel, and a significant amount of work goes into its decoration. Each year, I am stunned by the artistic design of the room.
This year, CinCC took place between December 5th and December 7th. During that time, 5 shows were given, and approximately 1,200 people attended each performance.
CinCC is a remarkable opportunity for students who are in band, orchestra, or choir. It is a true showcase of their talents. The Gustavus campus is absolutely packed during CinCC weekend, and it is exciting to have such a premiere musical showcase occur at Gustavus.
