Each Friday night during the academic year, there is a late night and informal campus wide dance held at Gustavus. These Friday night dances occur in The Dive, which is a large lounge area full of comfy couches, televisions, and a dance floor.
Every so often, there is a 21+ Dive night that occurs for Gustie students. This past Saturday was one such 21+ night, and it was a blast. Gustavus students who were over the age of 21 were able to attend and enjoy a fun environment to have a few drinks and dance.
A huge crowd did not attend this past 21+ Dive night, but there were still a fair amount of people who showed up. I think everybody who went enjoyed themselves, and I would imagine that as more and more 21+ Dive nights occur, more people will start to attend.
21+ Dive night is a fine way for the Gustavus campus to encourage responsible drinking on campus.
