Happy KISS Week! Posted on February 23rd, 2010 by

No, I’m not talking about the rock band, Kiss, I’m talking about Keep It Safe & Sexy Week at Gustavus, an annually recognized week of awareness sponsored by the Peer Assistants (PA’s). The main gist of having KISS week is to help promote awareness and safety when it comes to romantic relationships. College is an important time in a lot of people’s lives and it’s where a lot of people form serious committed relationships with another person, and sometimes they end up with that same person for life. Relationships can be extremely fun and rewarding, but in the worst cases they can be harmful, so in order to shed some light on the ingredients of what makes a relationship work for both people involved the PA’s hold a workshop on healthy relationships that is open to the student body to attend. There are also some really fun activities for the student body like Sexy Bingo (definitely not your grandma’s bingo!) but don’t worry, it’s safe and it’s sexy which is what this week is all about promoting! The PA’s also do a great job of keeping posters up year round promoting healthy relationships and communication.
