I hope you’re enjoying those first few days of summer! Before you know it, you’ll be packing up the car or hopping on a plane to make your way to Saint Peter. We can’t wait to greet you!
Until then, there are items to complete to make sure you’re ready to go on your first day. Please note, some deadlines for course registration and housing have passed. If you haven’t completed these items, please do so as soon as possible.
And, as always, if you can’t find what you need or have questions, check the Get Ready Gusties web page, or visit our archive to see what you may have missed.
Go Gusties!

- PACKING LIST: Communal bathrooms call for shower shoes!
- GUSTIE LINGO: The Lib: noun, The Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library is a popular study spot for all study styles. Each floor has a different volume level, with the basement being the loudest and the third floor being the quietest.
- UNSPOKEN RULE: The stretch of sidewalk from Pittman Hall to Uhler Hall is called Hello Walk. Greet your fellow students when you pass them—Gusties have been doing it for 100 years.
- CAF CREATION: Swing by the salad bar and you’ll find a whole section of spices and sauces—mild to hot—to take your meal up a notch. Ever sprinkled Lawry’s Seasoned Salt on your fries?
- ACRONYM DEFINED: The Center for International and Cultural Education, our hub for study away and intercultural activities, is often called the CICE.
AROUND RING ROAD
