Yes, I know this is a cheesy “Sound of Music” reference, but over the last few semesters at Gustavus I’ve realized that there are some things that I really enjoy about Gustavus that I wouldn’t have discovered if I didn’t go here:
Blueberry muffin tops cereal, it’s sooo addicting!
Garlic cheesy bread on whole grain crust from the MarketPlace
Staying up late with my friends playing Risk
Talking on my phone with my sister when I’m here
Drinking green tea with honey while reading a good book,
My Brita water pitcher in my dorm
Stealing, I mean borrowing clothes from my roommate
Our little 4 cup coffee maker in the dorm that sits on our counter
My spotted, fantail goldfish Bubbles who also lives in our dorm
Grocery shopping in the caf and then restocking the mini fridge J
FREE yogalates classes Monday and Thursday afternoons
Walking down to my favorite coffee shop in town
Riding the Gus Bus with my friends to Subway on Friday night
Going to the bowling alley in St. Peter on Monday nights for one dollar bowling and one dollar French fries
Saying hi to people I know around campus
The cookies in the courtyard café, sooo yummy especially when they’re warm!
The cherry blossoms that bloom every spring around campus
Jogging around St. Peter
Painting in my dorm
Painting my nails with my friends while watching our favorite show online…
There’s a lot of things I love about Gustavus, and these are just a few that come to my mind, and things that I know I’m going to miss someday after I graduate. In the meantime I look forward to adding even more to my list of favorite things I love about Gustavus and sharing them with others.
